To be part of tour team, the core role requirements are to be an experienced and high quality welder who aligns with the company's values and culture.  Full time, permanent position available for successful candidate.  

Short term contract work also available.

Monday – Friday day shift.

Who we are

OTTICO Equipment, creators of SPITWATER, is a family owned manufacturing company based in the regional city of Albury, NSW. The company has been  designing and manufacturing SPITWATER high pressure water cleaners at the Albury factory for the commercial and industrial market in Australia and overseas since the early 1980s, employing local talent and supporting families in the area and across Australia for almost 40 years.  We have a new name for the factory and a brand new look but  are the same people and company that started the SPITWATER brand.  At OTTICO Equipment, we pride ourselves in providing quality and reliable products and solutions to our customers around Australia, and the world. 

About the role

Strategic business growth has opened an opportunity within our Metal Fabrication Department for a trade qualified Welder.

Fulltime dayshift Monday to Friday with opportunities for overtime as required. Short term contract work also available.  

The role requirements include:

Welding of production parts using MIG and TIG

Manufacture of production jigs

Use of hand and power tools

Minor machinery/equipment maintenance

Quality Assurance of finished parts, dimensions and tolerances

Ability to work cohesively within a team

Ability to assist with the training of apprentices

 

To be successful in the role and become a part of our team, you will:

  • Be a Trade Qualified Welder

  • Have proven experience

  • Have the ability to read, understand and follow technical drawings and work instructions (written and verbal) and be prepared to follow SOPs

  • Take pride in production accuracy and quality

  • Have a “can do attitude”

  • Have a stable work history

  • Be highly self-motivated

  • Experience / background in a manufacturing environment beneficial

  • Ability to work to deadlines and availability for overtime as required

  • Have a strong understanding of and adherence to WHS requirements in the work-place

  • Permission to work in Australia (essential)

  • High level of integrity

  • Be physically fit for the role

  • Be able to work alone or as part of a team

  • Current forklift licence (beneficial)
