About the role
We are seeking an experienced and trade qualified Service Diesel Technician to join our OEM Group team. Karratha will be your home branch and you will travel to clients based in the Pilbara as required. Reporting to the Service Manager in Perth, you will conduct repairs and maintenance on pressure cleaner machines and small motor equipment. You will assist the Pilbara Sales Coordinator with customer enquiries on spare parts and dispatching stock when required. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your skills beyond the workshop.

Candidate must be willing to travel to work over an initial 3 month period for training.
This is a Monday to Friday role, hours are typically 7am to 3.30pm.

In this role, you will:
Carry out mechanical inspections in accordance with manufactures requirements
Strip and assess equipment for repairs
Fault finding and diagnosis
Test equipment and check that specific requirements have been met
Testing and commissioning of new machines for Sales department as required.
On occasion, conduct maintenance, repairs, inspections and field servicing at our client’s sites.
Ensure necessary paperwork and records are completed
Pre and post Hire checks of hire machines
Provide backup as Warehouse / Storeperson during busy periods and when other staff on leave
Assist with customer enquiries, sales enquiries, answering phone calls, etc.
Skills and Attributes
Trade qualified is desirable
Previous experience working in servicing and repairs
Currently hold or able to obtain a valid WA drivers licence
Forklift licence desirable (or training given to applicate)
Strong mechanical aptitude
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and individually as required
Mechanical & electrical problem-solving skills
Ability to read & comprehend instructions
Basic numeracy skills, having the ability to use these skills with weight, volume & distance
Strong attention to detail
