Thomas Maxwell has been racing for over 12 years and has now taken to the Super2 Series for the current 2022 season. Spitwater have come onboard as the naming right sponsor for the remainder of the season boasting the Tough and Ready black, yellow and white livery.
Thomas Maxwell has previously raced in the Porsche Carrera Cup, Australian Grand Prix, Formula Renault Eurocup 2017, 2017 Monaco Grand Prix, Formula Renault Eurocup 2018, the iconic Monza Grand Prix circuit and in the British F3 Championship before starting the Australian 2022 tour in The Dunlop Super2 Championship.
Thomas first took the Spitwater sponsored car out in the NTI Townsville 500 where he finished 11th in Race 1 and then climbed the ranks in race 2 to finish 5th.
His last race held in Sandown saw Thomas take out his maiden Super2 pole position for the race on the Sunday from which his race ended prematurely after being caught up in an unfortunate controversial incident.. This setback was unfortunate for the up and coming racing star, but he lines up again for Bathurst in October with high aspirations to continue his stellar speed.
When discussing his experience at Sandown after his pole position award;
"It was awesome to be able to represent Spitwater at Sandown and have them share my first ever Pole Position. It definitely makes it more enjoyable being able to share the highs with people who have your back. Absolutely pumped to continue on and share even more success with the crew."
The 2022 Bathurst 1000 will begin on Thursday, 6 October and ends on Sunday, 9 October. You'll be able to catch Thomas Maxwell racing the Spitwater car for this race over the weekend and be sure to back this young and upcoming star as we have.
